At AFRIMMA AWARD, Akothee won the best female artist in East Africa

In 2019, Kenya won the bests of AFRIMMA Awards
Mambo Mseto host Mzazi Willy M Tuva, Akothee singer and DJ Posion Ivy all won awards at Saturday's Afrika Muzik Magazine Awards in Texas, USA.
Akothee wins best female artist in East  Africa 

Tuva has been named Africa's best radio and television presenter, while Akothee has been crowned East Africa's best female musician, beating Vanessa Mdee, Nandy, Victoria Kimani, and Fena Gitu among others.
Officially the best female artist in East Africa is Kenyan songbird, Esther Akoth, better known as Akothee.

At the 6th annual African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMAs) held in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, October 26, 2019, Akothee won the coveted title.
In order to clinch the title, Akothee beat other big names in the region like Victoria Kimani and Fena Gitu and Vanessa Mdee and Nandy's Tanzanian duo.

Kimani was the recipient of this award last year.

Mzazi Willy M. Tuva won the award for the best television and radio presenter in Africa.

Tuva hosts Mseto East Africa on Citizen TV. Music and entertainment that cuts across East Africa
Kenya's DJ Posion Ivy, the NBA official deejay of Dallas Mavericks, won the award for best East African DJ.

The other big winner was Tanzanian Ommy Dimpoz who beat counterparts Ali Kiba, Diamond Platnumz and Harmonize as well as Kenyan artists Nyashinski and Khaligraph to be crowned as East Africa's best male artist.
Nigeria's Burna Boy was named the artist of the year while Toofan Group was voted the best African music group beating Sauti Sol's likes who won last year's prize.

The African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMAs) provides African artists with a platform to gain recognition for their unique talents and accomplishments.
