Just after the plane took off from the Lodwar Airstrip, one of the left tires fell off and emergency services were immediately enabled for landing in Eldoret.

Ipara said the incident had been investigated by the relevant authorities.
Some of the panic-looking passengers said they were alerted to the emergency landing.
The aircraft was on its way to Nairobi but was forced to land in Eldoret.

In a statement, Silverstone confirmed the incident that the plane from Lodwar lost the assembly of the number 3 wheel.
"The flight captain agreed to divert to Eldoret International Airport for the sake of continued passenger and crew safety. It was a precautionary measure and the aircraft landed safely," said the airline's management.

The airline said it had activated its contingency plans and rebooked the affected customers and landed safely in Nairobi since then.
It comes a week after an airline from Silverstone skidding off the Wilson Airport runway.
