Everton midfielder Andre Gomes was seriously injured after Sunday's Son Heung-min Tottenham star tackle
After suffering a fracture dislocation to his right ankle, Andre Gomes will undergo surgery on Monday.
During the 1-1 draw of the Toffees with Tottenham on Sunday, Everton midfielder Gomes suffered the sickening injury.

Son Heung-min, who was sent off, tackled the Portugal international before unpleasantly crashing and sliding into Serge Aurier.
Before being taken to an ambulance on a stretcher, Gomes was treated on the pitch and then rushed to the hospital.

Everton wrote in a statement: "In today's game with Tottenham Hotspur, Everton Football Club may announce that Andre Gomes will undergo surgery tomorrow (Monday, November 4).
"In the second half of the game, Portugal International was pulled from the pitch and taken straight to Aintree Hospital with an ambulance assisted by members of the Everton medical team. It was reported that he had undergone a fracture dislocation to his right ankle after undergoing hospital examinations.

"The Club will provide further updates in due course." The injury overshadowed the game in which Toffees replaced Cenk Tosun equalized after Dele Alli's first away league goal since January in the eight of 12 minutes of time added.

"Everyone inside is sad. Several players almost cried," said Tosun, who was only 10 minutes on the pitch.
"He was in shock, his eyes were so wide open. He was like crying, shouting and screaming. I was just trying to hold him up and talk to him. I was trying to tell him to remain calm. We couldn't understand him. "Marco Silva, manager of Everton, thanked his players for their reaction to the sickening setback." For us, it was a really tough moment, ignoring the match and the outcome with what happened to Andre,he said

"Our players are sad now, a hard time for us in our dressing room and for Andre, but I think the energy we displayed on the field after that moment is a good answer for you.
"What I can tell you is that he will have all the support he needs from us." He's seriously injured but I'm 100% sure that Andre will become stronger as a football player and a man because he's a fantastic lad, a fantastic professional.

"And I must be fair: it was a good tackle, of course, but I'm 100% positive that Son didn't do it with the intention of doing something bad for Andre.
