RICHEST COUNTRIES IN AFRICA WITH THEIR GDP; FIRST FIFTEEN

Here's the list of Africa's wealthiest countries from the richest to the least. This ranking is based solely on the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP):

1. Nigeria
NIGERIAN FLAG

GDP amounts to $397,472 billion.
Nigeria or Nigeria's Federal Republic. Abuja is its capital. Nigeria is currently Africa's most populated country with a population of over 190 million. Nigeria is Africa's richest country, based on GDP in 2019.

2. South Africa
SOUTH AFRICAN FLAG

South Africa GDP amounts to $376,679 billion.

South Africa or South Africa's Republic. It is Pretoria's administrative capital. The former president, Nelson Mandela, is synonymous with this country.

Until Nigeria took over, South Africa was the richest country in Africa based on GDP.

3. Egypt
EGYPTIAN FLAG

The Arab Republic of Egypt's capital is Cairo. Egypt, with its pyramids and mysterious stories, impresses the world. It has been one of the world's great civilizations.

4. Algeria
